Hydrogen Economy Still Very Promising

UCD Solar Research Inc. today announced its scientists have achieved a breakthrough that could result in a major ut in the cost of producing hydrogen. The new process is based on the development of a cheap catalyst that will allow sunlight to break water into hydrogen and oxygen. However, John Smith, technical director with Exxon Global, says "The prospect of enough hydrogen to meet the worlds transport and energy needs has been promised for decades. This development will need to be examined closely to make sure we are not facing yet another false dawn."
